Parent's Survival Guide

Overview

In the animation "Parents Survival Guide," a collaborative effort between VivifyIdeas and BeBac.com, I drew the characters and illustrations, working from Danilo Ćalić's storyboard. This project aimed to offer insightful, humorous guidance to parents navigating the challenges of raising children. My involvement encompassed translating complex parenting advice into engaging, easily digestible visual stories, making the guidance both accessible and entertaining for parents seeking support and information.

Vivify Ideas, the company already known for its humanitarian work, started an exciting project in collaboration with BeBac – a project aiming to educate new parents. The video we made in 2019 while working at Vivify has finally seen the light of day!

Process

The script Danilo Ćalić used to create the storyboard had been written by Jasmina Mihnjak, and we adapted it for animation. Once that step was completed, it was time to illustrate!

I drew all the illustrations and characters in Adobe Illustrator, saved them on separate grouped layers to ensure as little work as possible was left for the animator, and sent them to him.

The animator this time was Ivan Beresh, who magnificently managed to revive my illustrations and give them the liveliness they deserve! The final touch that made it all look and sound so wonderful came from the collaboration with Origintales.com studio and the voices provided by Jelena Đulvezan Milković and Mladen Vuković.
