The diamond and the monogram
The studio signs its work in two ways. A red diamond holds the words Propaganda Dept. under a small round seal. The monogram folds a P and a D into one angular shape, set in a ring lettered Propaganda Department.

The monogram went into badges. A round red sticker reads Est. MMIX, the year the studio began. Another rings the monogram with Freedom is Slavery and the studio's web address. An eye-shaped badge sets it between Propaganda and Department, a black seal adds For creative disruption only, and a Novi Sad badge calls itself the regional bureau.

A small run of metal brooches carried the monogram in red, inside an ornate gold frame. Each came on a card printed Propaganda Dept. and Beware of imitations, and they went at random into T-shirt orders.

Stickers went out with the T-shirt orders, and the monogram turned up on posts, boxes and a hydrant abroad. These photographs find it by the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, outside Amsterdam Centraal station and in other cities.

Two mockups made in 2026 put the marks on everyday things: the diamond on a matchbox, and the round mark stamped in red ink on a mailer box.
