In an era where convenience is king, the Kompass app stands out as a beacon for streamlined service bookings. Crafted by the visionary team at FBN Qube, a Serbian-based startup, Kompass serves a dual purpose: it allows users to effortlessly schedule appointments for a variety of services while enabling businesses to manage their bookings with unprecedented ease.
The core challenge was to develop an interface that simplified the booking experience across a multitude of service categories for two distinct user groups: service seekers and service providers. The goal was to deliver a product that balanced simplicity with the comprehensive features needed for a wide range of services.
The 'Find Service Flow' was meticulously designed to reduce complexity and cognitive load for the user. This involved creating a seamless journey from category selection to final booking confirmation, taking cues from existing, well-established booking systems to ensure user familiarity.
A user-friendly interface was created for businesses to set up their profiles. The flow was strategically developed to guide business owners through the necessary steps, from inputting basic information to adding detailed service lists, without overwhelming them.
The wireframes were intentionally designed with minimalistic aesthetics, using a strategic color palette to define interactive elements, such as buttons and links. This helped stakeholders focus on functionality and user flow rather than get distracted by design details.
The essence of the Kompass app lies in its ability to streamline the search and booking of services. The design has been refined to ensure users can swiftly locate their desired service and book appointments with minimal effort. The navigation adopts the familiar Google Maps interface, leveraging a widely recognized navigational design to enhance user comfort and efficiency.
The app facilitates a seamless setup of business profiles, allowing owners to quickly create, authenticate, and manage their presence within the platform.
Once a business profile is approved, users have the flexibility to effortlessly update and alter any details as needed.
The logo's unconventional downward-pointing arrow, as selected by the stakeholders, injects a unique element into the brand's visual identity. This choice defies the standard symbolism of upward growth but may carry specific connotations for the brand or its audience.
The Kompass app has carved out a niche in the digital booking space, demonstrating the power of user-centric design coupled with solid business acumen. The app's success underlines the importance of intuitive design in engaging users and streamlining their experiences.
